The Orton Miscellaneous category brings together a small selection of specialist items from Orton that complement your ceramic and pottery work. Whether you're a keen potter exploring new techniques or a mixed-media crafter incorporating ceramic elements into your projects, you'll find useful pieces here.
This collection features Orton cones in different temperature ratings—Cone 07, Cone 05 and Cone 04—available both as individual pieces and in boxes of 25. Cones are essential tools for monitoring kiln temperatures during firing, helping you achieve consistent results and protect your work from over or under-firing. The range of cone types means you can select the right one for your specific kiln and clay body requirements.
When choosing your cones, consider the temperature range your kiln reaches and the type of clay you're working with. If you fire regularly, a box of 25 offers excellent value and ensures you always have spares on hand. Keep cones stored in a cool, dry place away from moisture, as they can absorb humidity which may affect their performance.
