#CONE 05 ORTON 1- SINGLE PIECE

The Orton Cone 05 is a pyrometric cone designed to help you monitor firing temperatures during the kiln process. If you work with clay, ceramics or pottery alongside your papercraft, this cone bends at a specific temperature range to give you a reliable indicator of when your kiln has reached the right heat.

Place the cone on a small piece of unglazed bisque inside your kiln, then watch it during firing. As your kiln reaches the target temperature, the cone will bend, signalling that your pieces have been fired to the correct level. This takes the guesswork out of ceramic work and helps ensure consistent, successful results every time you fire.
