Create a striking card featuring a heat-embossed gold clock stamp on a decorative patterned paper background. The collage-style stamp creates intricate layered detail with minimal effort, giving a sophisticated look without complex techniques.

Step by step

1. Select a patterned paper from the new paper pad and place it on your work surface. ▶ watch 11:15
2. Ink up the clock stamp from the Timeless set using a sticky gold ink pad, ensuring full coverage. ▶ watch 12:00
3. Stamp the clock design onto the patterned paper, pressing down firmly and evenly. ▶ watch 12:15
4. Sprinkle gold embossing powder over the wet stamped image, covering all inked areas. ▶ watch 13:00
5. Use an anti-static bag to brush away excess powder before heat setting. ▶ watch 13:15
6. Heat set the embossing powder with a heat gun, moving it steadily to avoid scorching. ▶ watch 13:30
7. Allow the card to cool completely before handling. ▶ watch 14:00
8. Mount the stamped panel onto a card blank using adhesive. ▶ watch 14:15

Tips from the show

• Use an anti-static bag when heat embossing to prevent static powder from sticking everywhere.
• Let the embossed piece cool for a second before running it through your die-cutting machine to prevent sticking.
• You can offset the stamp to one side rather than centering it for a more dynamic layout.
