Create a touching gentleman's card featuring a mirror reflection of an embossed Jasper figure. The design combines elegant embossing with soft watercolour backgrounds and delicate floral accents for a sentimental finish. This project uses embossing folders, watercolour techniques, and layering to achieve a sophisticated card perfect for special occasions.

Step by step

1. 

   Run the Jasper gentleman stamp through your die-cutting machine with black cardstock using the 3D embossing folder to create the embossed gentleman image.

   Run the Jasper gentleman embossing folder through your die-cutting machine with a fresh piece of white cardstock to create a second embossed gentleman image.

3. 

   Carefully cut out both Jasper designs using scissors. Take care around the detailed areas of the image.

4. 

   Flip one of the cut-out Jasper designs horizontally to create a mirror image. This will allow you to create a reflection effect on your card.

5. 

   Prepare a card base with a pink background panel. Add a white cardstock panel on top to create the base for your card design.

6. 

   Layer a watercolour background paper behind the white panel. Position it so the design shows through attractively, then secure in place.

7. 

   Adhere the first Jasper gentleman design to the left side of the card base, positioning it facing towards the right.

8. Adhere the flipped Jasper gentleman design to the right side of the card base, positioning it to face left and create a reflection effect with the left side. ▶ watch 53:15
9. 

   Add watercolour flower stamps or decorative elements between the two gentleman figures on the card. Position them to fill the space and create visual interest between the mirrored images.

10. Add a sentiment such as 'You Are My Forever' to the card to complete your design. Position the sentiment appropriately on the card front. ▶ watch 54:00

Tips from the show

• Jasper is ageless and can represent anyone from a teenager to a 99-year-old.
• Creating a reflection effect with two embossed designs facing each other works beautifully for pairs or couples.
• All embossing folder designs work together wonderfully from different collections.
