Create a striking card featuring a tropical sunset scene with silhouetted figures on a beach, mounted on a vibrant pink card base. This project uses patterned paper from the Urban Life collection combined with stamped silhouettes from the Reflection Collection to create a sophisticated layered design. The technique involves simple stamping and layering to achieve a professional finish with minimal effort.
Select a piece of Urban Life paper featuring a street scene design. Position the paper on your black card base to check the composition works with your silhouette elements.

Select a stamp from the Reflection Collection that complements your urban scene. The lady with umbrella design works particularly well with city imagery.

Ink up your stamp with black ink. Use a stamping platform or position the stamp carefully on your image. The Eureka stamping platform shown helps ensure precise placement.

Position the Eureka 101 stamp on your paper, aligning it with the street scene image. Stamp only the lower portion to add the silhouette figure and legs to create depth in your urban scene.

Carefully lift the stamp away from the card to reveal the stamped image. The partial silhouette effect should now be visible on your card.

If desired, use a white gel pen to add highlights to elements of your stamped image, such as the umbrella, shoulder, or clothing details.

Position the stamped tropical sunset scene onto the black card base. Secure in place with adhesive, ensuring the image is centred within the aperture.

Complete your card by adding a sentiment strip if desired, or leave it as is for a clean, minimalist design. The tropical sunset scene with palm trees and silhouettes creates a striking focal point against the dark background.
