Flat Francesca Frame Card with Stencil Layering

Create a beautiful flat card using just the Francesca frame stencils without the die-cuts, demonstrating that the frame itself is a stunning standalone design. Build up colour layers using the four-stencil system to create a vintage-looking floral frame.

Step by step

1. Place the first Francesca stencil (numbered 1) onto white cardstock. ▶ watch 44:45
2. Apply a dusky purple or vintage colour through the stencil using a brush. ▶ watch 45:00
3. Line up the heart registration marks and apply the second stencil layer with green ink. ▶ watch 45:30
4. Continue layering with the third stencil, adding more green or teal colour to build depth. ▶ watch 46:00
5. Apply the fourth and final stencil layer with additional colour to complete the frame. ▶ watch 46:30
6. Adhere the stencilled frame onto a white cardstock base. ▶ watch 47:00
7. Add die-cut floral elements around the frame for additional dimension and interest. ▶ watch 47:30
8. Stamp a sentiment into the centre of the frame if desired. ▶ watch 48:00

Tips from the show

• The frame stencils work beautifully on their own without the lady die-cuts.
• You can create different looks by changing your colour palette from vintage to modern.
