About TRIMMINGS

Tim Holtz Idea-ology Trimmings are perfect for card makers, stampers and scrapbookers who want to add texture, detail and visual interest to their projects. This curated collection brings Tim Holtz's distinctive design aesthetic to your embellishments.

You'll find a range of trimmings to suit different themes and seasons. The collection includes natural elements like pine stems for organic texture, seasonal options such as Halloween jute string and fringe for festive projects, and decorative ribbons including filmstrip designs and ruler ribbon. These trimmings work beautifully as borders on cards and layouts, layered into mixed-media pieces, or used to frame focal points and draw the eye across your design.

When choosing trimmings, think about the overall mood you're creating—delicate ribbons work well for elegant designs, whilst textured strings and fringe add dimension to bolder layouts. Consider how the colour and style will complement your cardstock and stamped images. Trimmings often look best when they have space to shine, so don't overcrowd your design.
