Watercolour Floral Card with Stylish Chevrons and Wow Blooms Stamps

Build a beautiful watercolour-effect floral card using the four-stamp Wow Blooms system with coordinating dies. The stamps feature a heart-alignment system that ensures perfect layering, and the finished flowers create a painted watercolour appearance without requiring advanced colouring skills.

Step by step

1. Cut out the stylish Chevrons cover plate from patterned paper. ▶ watch 45:00
2. Paper piece the cut chevrons back into white card stock to create a layered background. ▶ watch 45:15
3. Take the first Wow Blooms stamp and locate the heart alignment marker in the centre. ▶ watch 46:00
4. Line up the heart marker on your card stock and stamp the first flower layer using pink ink. ▶ watch 46:15
5. Spray the stamped image lightly with water to create a watercolour effect, or leave dry for solid colour. ▶ watch 46:45
6. Remove the second stamp from the carrier sheet and align the heart marker over the first stamped heart. ▶ watch 48:00
7. Ink the flowers in purple and the leaves in green, then stamp in the same position. ▶ watch 48:30
8. Repeat with the third stamp, aligning the heart and adding different colour combinations to build depth. ▶ watch 49:00
9. Use the fourth detail stamp to add centres to flowers and fine details to leaves, aligning the heart as before. ▶ watch 50:15
10. Die cut all the stamped flowers using the coordinating dies to create clean, finished toppers. ▶ watch 52:45
11. Arrange the die-cut flowers on your chevron background, layering them to create a corner or focal point arrangement. ▶ watch 54:00
12. Add a sentiment stamp such as 'It begins' to complete the card. ▶ watch 55:15

Tips from the show

• The heart alignment system in the centre of each stamp ensures perfect registration without needing to worry about the rest of the design.
• You can intensify colours by stamping over the same area again with more ink if the first impression is not dark enough.
• Each card will be unique because you choose your own colour combinations for each layer.
