Build a luxurious three-petal magnolia flower using pre-shaded die-cut petals with embossed detail. The flowers can be layered flat or built into dimensional arrangements with coordinating leaves and foliage elements.

Step by step

Select a sheet from the pre-printed shaded flower card stock in your chosen colour. ▶ watch 33:30
Position the die plate onto the card stock, aligning the three large connected petal pieces. ▶ watch 33:45
Run the die and card stock through your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 34:00
Pop out the three large petal pieces and the separate circle pieces (which are not connected). ▶ watch 34:15
Pop out the leaf pieces, which feature embossed detail lines for added dimension. ▶ watch 34:30
Layer the three petals together, choosing to display either the light or dark shaded side. ▶ watch 34:45
Glue the petals together using dry clear glue, building up the flower shape. ▶ watch 35:00
Add the circle centre piece in a contrasting colour if desired for a plaque effect. ▶ watch 35:15
Arrange and glue leaves around the flower, using the embossed detail to score and fold them for added dimension. ▶ watch 35:30

Tips from the show

The embossed detail on the leaves allows you to score along the lines and fold them without cracking.
You can trim the large leaves into smaller pieces to create multiple foliage elements from one cut.
The design is fluid and works in any orientation, whether landscape or portrait.
