Romantic Cityscape Silhouette Card with Reflection

Create a striking card featuring a silhouette figure with an inbuilt reflection stamp. The reflection is shortened and jaded to mimic realistic water or wet pavement reflections, giving the card an atmospheric, romantic quality perfect for various occasions.

Step by step

1. Select a piece of patterned or plain card as your base. ▶ watch 24:00
2. Choose your silhouette stamp—either the running gentleman or standing lady with umbrella. ▶ watch 24:15
3. Ink the stamp with black ink, ensuring the entire image is well-covered. ▶ watch 24:45
4. Stamp the image onto your card, positioning it where you want the figure to appear. ▶ watch 25:00
5. Notice how the reflection portion of the stamp is already shortened and jaded within the design. ▶ watch 25:15
6. Add a sentiment from the included sentiment sheet if desired, positioning it below or beside the figure. ▶ watch 25:30
7. Enhance the card by adding white gel pen highlights to one side of the figure to suggest light direction. ▶ watch 26:00
8. Optional: add sparkle or glitter glue to the reflection area to suggest moisture or wet surfaces. ▶ watch 26:30

Tips from the show

• The reflection is already built into the stamp design, so you don't need to create it separately.
• If your ink is drying out and you get a jaded look, it actually enhances the effect.
• Keep highlights consistent—place them all on one side or top to suggest light coming from a single direction.
