Sentiment Tag with Foiled Detail

A quick project showing how to cut out and use the pre-printed foiled sentiment tags from the Tags & Toppers book. These can be mounted onto cards or used as gift tags, with the beautiful gold foiling providing an instant luxurious finish.

You will need

Step by step

1. Tear out a sentiment tag page from the Tags & Toppers book using the perforation line. ▶ watch 27:30
2. Use scissors to carefully cut around the shape of the sentiment tag, following the simple outlines provided. ▶ watch 27:45
3. Trim the tails or banner ends of the tag with scissors, running the blade down the sides for clean edges. ▶ watch 28:00
4. Optionally, apply 3D foam pads to the back of the tag for dimensional layering. ▶ watch 28:15
5. Mount the tag onto a card base or gift by adhering with glue or foam pads. ▶ watch 28:30
6. The foiled design is now ready to use as a card topper or gift tag. ▶ watch 29:00

Tips from the show

• The shapes in the Tags & Toppers book are intentionally simple and not difficult to cut, making them accessible for all skill levels.
• You can layer the tags onto coloured card blanks from the bundle to create coordinated designs.
• The gold foiling on these tags automatically makes them look professionally made, even with minimal effort.
