Radiant Poppies Embossed Floral Card with Coloured Powder

Create a vibrant poppy card using the Radiant Poppies stamp set with coloured embossing powder for a striking, dimensional finish. The design combines stamped florals with embossed sentiments in a bold, artistic style.

Step by step

1. Stamp the large poppy flower image onto white card stock using black ink, positioning it off-centre for visual interest. ▶ watch 46:30
2. Apply sticky embossing ink pad to your chosen sentiment stamp. ▶ watch 47:00
3. Stamp the sentiment onto the card in your desired position. ▶ watch 47:30
4. Sprinkle coloured embossing powder (popping pink) generously over the wet embossing ink, ensuring full coverage. ▶ watch 50:30
5. Heat set the powder with a heat gun, holding it at a safe distance until the powder becomes shiny and fully fused. ▶ watch 50:45
6. Brush away any excess powder that has settled on the coloured ink pads using a soft brush. ▶ watch 51:30

Tips from the show

• Use an antistatic bag before embossing to prevent powder from sticking to unwanted areas and creating a fluffy appearance.
• The higher the heat from your gun, the fewer lumps and bumps you will get in your finished artwork.
• You can colour the stamped poppy with pencils or alcohol markers before embossing if you prefer a more coloured approach.
