A project from our live show ONE DAY SPECIAL - Join Toni for her brand new launch - Broadcast 29th August 2025 · 29/08/2025 · watch it from 24:00

Create a stunning teapot card using the new Time for Tea lamination stamps on watercolour paper. The technique produces a beautifully blended, hand-painted watercolour effect with fine china detailing that cannot be achieved through traditional painting.

Step by step

  1. Trim a piece of craft-coloured card blank to a smaller size for a mini card format. ▶ watch 19:15
  2. Ink up the solid teapot stamp in teal ink, tapping gently to ensure even coverage across the stamp. ▶ watch 24:30
  3. Stamp the solid teapot image onto the watercolour card, pressing down firmly and evenly. ▶ watch 25:45
  4. Spray the stamped image three times with water to activate the ink and create the watercolour effect. ▶ watch 26:00
  5. Allow the card to absorb the ink for a few seconds without rushing; the watercolour paper will not drink the ink as quickly as regular card stock. ▶ watch 28:00
  6. Blot away any excess water puddles using a dry baby wipe, being careful not to disturb the stamped image. ▶ watch 28:15
  7. Ink up the detail stamp in the same teal colour and carefully align it over the solid teapot using the packet as a guide. ▶ watch 31:00
  8. Stamp the detail layer, pressing firmly to ensure good contact and reveal the fine china pattern details. ▶ watch 32:45
  9. Paint a light heather-coloured shadow underneath the teapot using a brush and water to ground the image and prevent it appearing to float. ▶ watch 36:15
  10. Add a black ink sentiment stamp to the card, positioning it to complement the teapot design. ▶ watch 37:00
