Embossed Star Stencil on Foil

Emboss the star precision stencil through foil using a Sizzix machine to create a raised, metallic design. This technique transforms the stencil into an embossing folder, giving you instant texture and detail.

Step by step

1. Layer your materials in the Sizzix machine: main plate, thin adapter, embossing mat, then your foil ▶ watch 41:15
2. Place the star stencil on top of the foil, using just the stencil without the screws or assembly ▶ watch 41:30
3. Create a shim (thin spacer) to place on top of the stencil to help press it down evenly ▶ watch 41:45
4. Place the glass plate on top and run the whole assembly through the machine twice, going back and forth ▶ watch 42:00
5. Remove the materials carefully and peel away the foil to reveal the embossed star design ▶ watch 42:15

Tips from the show

• Pass the assembly through the machine twice to ensure a good emboss, especially when working with foil
