Magnolia Garden Quattro Layered Stencil Card

A beautiful four-stage Quattro card featuring layered magnolia flowers with dimensional embossing and die-cut details. The stencil system guides you through building up colour in stages to create a professional-looking 3D floral card with shamfered edges.

Step by step

1. Line up the first numbered stencil in the corner of your card stock, aligning with the heart system guides. ▶ watch 46:30
2. Apply pink ink lightly through the first stencil to begin colouring the magnolia petals. ▶ watch 46:45
3. Position the second numbered stencil over the first, aligning with the heart guides, and apply a darker shade of pink ink. ▶ watch 47:30
4. Place the third stencil and apply teal or green ink to create the background leaves and stems. ▶ watch 48:30
5. Use the fourth stencil to add final details and flower centres in a contrasting colour like purple. ▶ watch 49:45
6. Stamp the border detail from the two-part stamp set in black ink, lining up each section separately. ▶ watch 51:00
7. Run the die-cut through your machine to pop out all the cream background pieces, keeping the plate connected to avoid cutting. ▶ watch 54:00
8. Line up the die-cut piece into the embossing folder and run through your machine to create the shamfered edge detail. ▶ watch 57:00
9. Trim around the shamfered edge using a guillotine to reveal the full embossed detail. ▶ watch 59:00

Tips from the show

• You don't need multiple ink pad shades; apply the same colour lightly for layer one, then press harder for layer two to create depth.
• The four-stage process works the same for all Quattro designs like Paris Tower or Rocking Around Santa.
• You can use sparkly card or patterned paper behind the die-cut pieces so it shows through proudly.
