Stencilled Gift Tag with Ink Resist Technique

Create a quick gift tag by inking through the Falling Snow stencil onto a gessoed MDF tag. This simple technique produces an instant, professional-looking result perfect for personalising gifts.

Step by step

1. Gesso an MDF tag to create a smooth base for inking. ▶ watch 29:15
2. Combine ocean and murder side dye inks on your palette. ▶ watch 29:30
3. Place the Falling Snow stencil on the gessoed tag. ▶ watch 29:45
4. Ink directly through the stencil onto the tag using a sponge or ink pad, working from the edges inward. ▶ watch 30:00
