Create an elegant card featuring a decorative embossed tile background in charcoal grey with delicate pink watercolour florals. This project uses fussy-cutting techniques to layer beautiful floral elements from patterned paper onto a coordinating base, creating a sophisticated dimensional design perfect for any occasion.

Step by step

1. 

   Select a coordinating patterned paper from the collection. Fold it in half to create your card base, ensuring the decorative pattern is on the front.

   Fussy cut a floral design from the Remember This paper collection, carefully cutting around the outline of the flower.

3. Use a coloured pencil to fill in any white spaces left from fussy cutting the floral elements. Gently colour over the edges to blend them in with the design. ▶ watch 32:00
4. 

   Layer the fussy-cut floral piece onto the watercolour card base. Position it carefully to create your desired composition.

   Add a sentiment banner to the card front. Enhance the design with sequins or other embellishments as desired to complete your watercolour floral card.

Tips from the show

• Do not worry about perfect fussy cutting; use a coloured pencil to fill in any white spaces
• Let the paper collection do the hard work; add your own creative touch to make it personal
• Never try to be like somebody else; create what makes you happy and it will reflect in your work
