Vellum Flower Embellishments

Create beautiful dimensional flowers from the vellum paper included in the collection. These flowers can be wrapped and layered to create different sizes, from half an inch to four inches, and used to embellish cards, albums, and other projects.

Step by step

1. Cut the transparent vellum paper with pink and green palm leaf design into strips suitable for wrapping around flower centres. ▶ watch 36:15
2. 

   Wrap the vellum strips around your finger or a cylindrical tool to create a spiral shape. This will form the petals of your flower embellishment.

3. 

   Continue wrapping the vellum strip around the flower centre, building up layers to create the desired flower size. Keep the wrapping fairly loose to create a natural petal effect.

4. 

   Secure the wrapped vellum flower by adding adhesive to hold the layers in place. Press gently to ensure the flower maintains its shape whilst the adhesive sets.

5. Attach the finished vellum flower to your card or project. Position the flower where desired and secure it in place with adhesive. ▶ watch 37:15

Tips from the show

• The vellum paper weight is perfect for moulding without cracking or breaking
• You can create flowers in various sizes by adjusting how much you wrap
• Combine vellum flowers with the stitched leaves from the embellishment kit for a complete floral look
