Vellum Marbled Card with Dry Brush Accent

Layer coloured vellum over white card to create a vibrant, pop-out effect. The vellum's translucency allows the colours to glow whilst maintaining a sophisticated look.

You will need

Thirsty Brush Unltd - A4 Vellum - Life in Full Colour - TBLIFCV01SEE IT

Step by step

1. Select a marbled or patterned vellum sheet from the Life in Full Colour collection. ▶ watch 22:15
2. Apply glue sparingly to the back of the vellum, using a sponge to dab it on so it's barely there to prevent wrinkling. ▶ watch 22:30
3. Mount the vellum onto white card stock, pressing down gently. ▶ watch 22:45
4. Dry brush white acrylic paint around the edges of the vellum to make the colours pop further. ▶ watch 23:00

Tips from the show

• Vellum can crinkle if it gets wet, so use minimal glue and apply with a sponge
• Layering vellum over white makes the colours appear vibrant; over other colours it knocks them back slightly
