A fresh summer card featuring the Summer Story stamp set with a beautiful lighthouse scene and sentiments. Create scenic cards perfect for summer parties, beach themes and holiday greetings with layered watercolour effects.

Step by step

1. Stamp the lighthouse scene from Summer Story onto your card base using black ink. ▶ watch 12:45
2. Apply light watercolour washes to add colour and atmosphere to the lighthouse and surrounding scene. ▶ watch 13:00
3. Use white gel pen to add fine details and highlights to the lighthouse and water. ▶ watch 13:15
4. Create shaker card variations by using acetate overlays and embellishments. ▶ watch 13:30
5. Mix and match with embossing folders and other stamps to create coordinated designs. ▶ watch 13:45
6. Layer your finished design onto coordinating cardstock to complete the card. ▶ watch 14:00

Tips from the show

• You don't need to be a card maker to use these stamps—even simple designs with just a black ink pad and good cardstock look beautiful.
• These stamps work wonderfully for making tags, wrapping paper and other projects beyond cards.
