Salt and Pepper Embossing Technique Card

A textured card using the salt and pepper embossing technique with pigment ink and WOW powder. Random sprinkles of embossing powder create a speckled, dimensional effect.

Step by step

1. Prepare a piece of card stock as your base. ▶ watch 53:30
2. Apply pigment ink to the card using an ink pad or by stamping. ▶ watch 53:45
3. Randomly sprinkle WOW embossing powder over the wet pigment ink in a salt and pepper pattern. ▶ watch 54:00
4. Heat-set the powder with an embossing gun until fully melted. ▶ watch 54:15
5. Observe how the sparkle captivates within the pigment ink for a unique textured effect. ▶ watch 54:30

Tips from the show

• Pigment ink stays wet longer, giving you time to apply the salt and pepper technique.
• Random sprinkles create an organic, textured appearance.
