Embossed Stencil Card with WOW Powder

A striking card using the Hazy Days stencil with WOW embossing powder in a teal-gold tone. The stencil is inked and embossed to create a shimmering, dimensional effect on coloured card stock.

Step by step

1. Select a piece of Oxford blue card stock as your base. ▶ watch 37:30
2. Position the Hazy Days stencil in the centre of the card. ▶ watch 37:45
3. Apply sticky ink pad through the stencil opening. ▶ watch 38:00
4. Sprinkle WOW embossing powder over the inked stencil area. ▶ watch 38:15
5. Tap off excess powder back into the pot. ▶ watch 38:30
6. Heat-set the powder with an embossing gun until it becomes shiny and crisp. ▶ watch 38:45
7. Mount the embossed card onto a contrasting card stock for presentation. ▶ watch 39:00
8. Add a sentiment below or around the embossed design. ▶ watch 39:15

Tips from the show

• The shiny surface catches the light beautifully once heat-set.
• Keep the embossing gun hot and work quickly to avoid warping the card.
