Step by step

  1. Take a piece of white card and select a dark ink pad (such as hickory smoke grey). Ink up both sides of your Slimline embossing folder. ▶ watch 43:00
  2. Tap the top of the embossing folder design with the inked pad to create concentrated colour on the raised areas, building up the ink gradually. ▶ watch 45:15
  3. Lightly spray the inked embossing folder with water to add texture and create a vintage, aged appearance. ▶ watch 45:45
  4. Place your white card inside the embossing folder and run it through your die-cutting machine to create the dimensional embossed design. ▶ watch 46:15
  5. Once embossed, dry the card slightly and add subtle colour accents using a dry brush technique. Brush a small amount of yellow ink onto the flower areas. ▶ watch 48:00
  6. Add touches of pink ink to selected areas of the botanical design using the same dry brush method, keeping the colour light and selective. ▶ watch 49:15
  7. Trim the card to your desired size and add a sentiment or washi tape embellishment to complete the design. ▶ watch 51:00
