Step by step

  1. Start with white card and position the first layering stencil (numbered 1) by lining up the four hearts in the corners. ▶ watch 26:15
  2. Apply ink through the stencil using a light tapping motion, then remove the stencil to reveal the first layer of the flower. ▶ watch 26:30
  3. Position the second layering stencil (numbered 2) by aligning the hearts with your previous ink marks, then apply a slightly darker shade of the same colour. ▶ watch 27:30
  4. Apply the third layering stencil (numbered 3) with green ink for the foliage, using a light application and building up darker areas as desired. ▶ watch 29:15
  5. Apply the fourth and final layering stencil (numbered 4) with the same green ink, pressing slightly harder to deepen the greenery. ▶ watch 31:00
  6. Stamp the peony outline onto the layered design using a clear or sticky ink pad, positioning it to complement your stencilled layers. ▶ watch 33:00
  7. Sprinkle heat-embossing powder over the wet stamp ink, tap off the excess, and heat-set with a heat gun until the powder melts and becomes shiny. ▶ watch 39:00
  8. Die-cut around the embossed flower design using the coordinating die from the set. ▶ watch 43:30
  9. Place the die-cut flower into the 3D embossing folder, ensuring it lines up correctly (the folder will only fit one way). ▶ watch 45:00
  10. Run the embossing folder through your die-cutting machine to create dimensional detail on the flower petals and leaves. ▶ watch 45:30
  11. Remove the flower from the embossing folder to reveal the 3D embossed design with beautiful depth and texture. ▶ watch 46:30
