Chevron Background Card with White-on-White Embossing

A masculine-style card using the Stylish Chevrons cover plate with a white-on-white technique to create subtle texture. The design features a soft embossed chevron pattern that adds dimension without bold colour, perfect for gentleman's cards.

Step by step

1. Take a teal card blank as your base. ▶ watch 32:45
2. Cut a piece of black card stock to use as a mat layer. ▶ watch 33:00
3. Run white card stock through the Stylish Chevrons die to cut out the chevron pattern. ▶ watch 33:15
4. Mount the white chevron die-cut onto the black mat layer. ▶ watch 33:45
5. Attach the matted chevron design to the teal card blank. ▶ watch 34:15
6. Stamp an arrow design from the Fancy a Holiday set onto the card. ▶ watch 34:45
7. Add a sentiment or message to complete the card design. ▶ watch 35:15

Tips from the show

• White-on-white creates a subtle embossed look that works beautifully for masculine cards.
• You can grunge up the chevron design with embossing powders or distressing techniques if you want a more textured masculine feel.
• The chevron pattern works well as a background filler to add interest without overwhelming the design.
