4x4 Gift Box with Floral Decoration

A beautiful handmade gift box made from patterned cardstock using the Box and Envelope Maker tool. The box features pre-cut and shaped floral die-cuts arranged in a dimensional bouquet on the lid, creating an elegant presentation perfect for small gifts like perfume or chocolates.

Step by step

  1. Place your 12 by 12 cardstock into the Box and Envelope Maker, lining it up at the XL marking. ▶ watch 37:30
  2. Score down the first line and then score across horizontally, following the XL line guides. ▶ watch 38:00
  3. Punch out the marked areas using the tool's punch function. ▶ watch 38:15
  4. Turn the scored template and repeat scoring on the XL line from one point to another. ▶ watch 38:30
  5. Punch out the small recesses on the reverse side of the template to create the box closure. ▶ watch 38:45
  6. Fold the scored lines carefully to form the box shape, ensuring all creases are sharp. ▶ watch 39:00
  7. Insert the clasp from the back of the Box and Envelope Maker tool and punch to secure the closure mechanism. ▶ watch 39:30
  8. Gather your pre-cut floral die-cuts in various colours and fold some in half to create dimension. ▶ watch 40:00
  9. Begin layering the flowers onto the box lid, tucking them in to create a full bouquet effect. ▶ watch 42:00
  10. Add foliage pieces and banner die-cuts between flowers to create depth and fill gaps. ▶ watch 54:00
  11. Secure all floral elements with hot glue gun or adhesive pads for durability. ▶ watch 56:00
  12. Add ribbon bows and final touches to balance the design, ensuring the box remains closable. ▶ watch 1:00:00
