Tag-Based Greeting Card

Create a beautiful greeting card using pre-cut tags from the Magnolia collection as your focal point. Layer delicate floral tags with embellishments and decorative papers in soft pinks, greens and gold tones to build dimensional interest. This charming design combines simple layering techniques with elegant vintage-inspired florals for a stunning handmade card.

Step by step

  1. Select a card blank from the Magnolia kit as the base for your design. Choose your preferred colour and style to begin creating your greeting card. ▶ watch 23:00
  2. Select your desired tags from the pre-cut tag selection included in the Magnolia Create a Card kit. Choose tags that complement your card design. ▶ watch 23:30
  3. Apply 3D foam pads to the back of your tags to create dimension. Position the tags at varying heights on your card front to add depth and visual interest. ▶ watch 24:00
  4. Stamp a sentiment onto the tag using the stamp set and ink pad provided in the kit. Position the stamp carefully on the tag and press firmly to transfer the image. ▶ watch 24:30
  5. Layer additional embellishments around the gold glitter tag. Add floral elements, decorative pieces, and sentiment tags to create visual interest and depth around your central tag element. ▶ watch 25:00
  6. Add coordinating toppers to frame your tag design. Layer decorative elements such as floral die-cuts and sentiment tags onto your card to complement the central magnolia image. ▶ watch 26:00
  7. Arrange your floral elements and embellishments at a slight angle on the card front for a dynamic composition. Position the magnolia flowers, foliage, and decorative pieces to create visual interest. ▶ watch 27:00
