Vintage Lamination Floral Birthday Card

A 7x7 inch square card featuring the 'Here for You' lamination stamp with abstract floral design, creating a painted watercolour effect. The card uses ink blending for vintage edges and layered elements with sentiment text.

You will need

Step by step

  1. Cut a square card blank to 7 by 7 inches from cream cardstock. ▶ watch 16:45
  2. Trim a mat and layer for the front of the card. ▶ watch 17:30
  3. Use a blending brush with ink to blend colour around all edges of the card for a vintage look. ▶ watch 24:00
  4. Stamp the main floral head of the lamination stamp in black ink, positioning it coming in from the corner. ▶ watch 28:00
  5. Stamp the side bud element of the stamp in black ink to complement the main flower. ▶ watch 31:00
  6. Lightly tap a small ink pad to load the stamp with minimal ink, then remove excess with tissue. ▶ watch 35:00
  7. Spray the stamp three times with water before pressing onto the card to create the lamination watercolour effect. ▶ watch 35:45
  8. Repeat the water-spray lamination technique for the remaining floral elements on the card. ▶ watch 37:00
  9. Stamp the 'Beautiful Birthday' sentiment in black ink at the bottom right of the card. ▶ watch 39:30
  10. Add sparkle with a sparkle pen to selected leaves for subtle embellishment. ▶ watch 40:30
  11. Layer the decorated panel onto the black mat layer and attach to the card base. ▶ watch 41:30
