Step by step

  1. Apply repositionable double-sided tape to the back of your moon stencil circle mask to hold it securely in place on your card. ▶ watch 30:00
  2. Apply salvage patina distress oxide around the outer edges of the stencil using a blending brush, working in circular motions. ▶ watch 30:30
  3. Layer prize ribbon distress oxide over the salvage patina around the edges to deepen the night sky colour gradually. ▶ watch 31:00
  4. Add chipped sapphire distress oxide to the darkest outer edges, building up colour depth as you move inward towards the moon. ▶ watch 31:30
  5. Spritz the inked area lightly with water to lift and blend the distress oxides, creating a galaxy or night sky effect. ▶ watch 32:00
  6. Allow the card to dry completely, then carefully lift away the stencil mask to reveal the glowing moon. ▶ watch 32:30
  7. Stamp the A7 mathematical equation background stamp in chipped sapphire ink over the moon area for added texture and detail. ▶ watch 33:00
  8. Apply white ink or embossing powder to one side of the moon to create the illusion of dimension and moonshine. ▶ watch 33:30
  9. Apply glitzcraft paste mixed with graphite and silver through the moon stencil to add shimmer and depth to the focal point. ▶ watch 38:00
