Stylized Star Stencil Sunset Background Card

Build an artistic background using the stylized star stencil with layered ink colours to create a sunset effect. The stencil's decorative edges add an elevated, gallery-like quality to a simple but striking card design.

Step by step

1. Pin the stylized star stencil to your card base. ▶ watch 5:00
2. Apply pink ink through the stencil using a brush, working softly around the edges. ▶ watch 5:15
3. Blend the colour with a blending brush to create a gradient effect from dark to light. ▶ watch 5:30
4. Add a second darker ink colour to increase dimension and depth. ▶ watch 5:45
5. Remove the stencil carefully to reveal the finished background. ▶ watch 6:00

Tips from the show

• The stylized elements on the stencil edges are intentionally imperfect, like graffiti art, so don't worry about precision.
• Use half of the circle or other shapes if you want—there are no rules with these stencils.
