Coordinating Box Outer Cover with Book Closure

Construct a beautiful outer box cover that coordinates with your mini album. This project features a book-style closure with ribbon ties and decorative corner punching, creating an elegant presentation for your gift.

Step by step

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock measuring 18cm by 29cm using your guillotine. ▶ watch 50:00
2. Place the cardstock into your scoreboard and score at 13cm, then rotate and score at 13cm again to create the box structure. ▶ watch 53:00
3. Fold the cardstock along all score lines to create the basic box shape. ▶ watch 54:30
4. Use a corner punch to round all four corners of the folded box for a polished finish. ▶ watch 55:00
5. Cut two pieces of ribbon long enough to tie a bow and glue one piece to the front of the box. ▶ watch 56:00
6. Turn the box over and glue the second ribbon piece to the back, ensuring both ribbons align evenly. ▶ watch 56:30
7. Cut small pieces of metallic cardstock approximately 2cm wide and fold in half to create metal-look ribbon ends. ▶ watch 57:00
8. Glue the metallic pieces to the ends of both ribbons for an elegant closure detail. ▶ watch 57:30
