Mount your painted lady design onto a coordinating pink card base, add a stamped sentiment, and embellish with sparkle and sequins to complete an elegant, multi-layered card.

Step by step

1. Mount the painted lady design onto a piece of pink card using tape or glue, positioning it to showcase the bubble background. ▶ watch 36:00
2. Stamp your chosen sentiment (such as 'All Mine') onto the card using black ink, positioning it in a clear area below the lady. ▶ watch 36:45
3. Add padding or foam pads behind the sentiment to create dimension and lift it from the card base. ▶ watch 37:00
4. Apply sparkle pen or gel pen to the lady's skirt, working quickly to avoid reactivating the watercolour paint. ▶ watch 39:00
5. Add sparkle to the bouquet area for extra glamour and visual interest. ▶ watch 39:30
6. Glue the entire layered design onto your final card base, ensuring all elements are securely adhered. ▶ watch 40:00
7. Add sequins or additional embellishments to enhance the card's sparkle and elegance. ▶ watch 40:45

Tips from the show

• When adding sparkle pen to watercolour areas, work quickly as the wet element of the sparkle pen will reactivate the paint and cause it to move.
• Consider colouring the lady's legs and arms if they blend too much with the background for better definition.
