Ombre Ink Background with Masked Character Card

Create a vibrant ombre background using multiple ink colours blended together, then add a masked silhouette and stamped character on top. This technique produces a modern, eye-catching card with beautiful colour gradation.

Step by step

1. Create a paper mask of the character you want to use and place it on your cardstock. ▶ watch 51:45
2. Apply the first ink colour (purple) to the top area of the card using a stamp platform. ▶ watch 52:00
3. Apply the second ink colour (blue) to the middle section, allowing it to blend slightly with the purple. ▶ watch 52:15
4. Apply the third ink colour (pink) to the bottom section, creating a gradient effect. ▶ watch 52:30
5. Remove the mask carefully to reveal the silhouette effect. ▶ watch 52:45
6. Stamp the character image in colour directly over the ombre background. ▶ watch 53:00
7. Add additional ink details or accents to enhance the character. ▶ watch 53:30
8. Mount the finished piece onto card bases and add any final embellishments. ▶ watch 54:00
