Step by step

  1. Gather your materials: a 6x6 card base, craft card, gold card, acetate or vellum, coloured ink pad (tealy or brownsy tones), water spray bottle, tissue, white gel pen, embossing powder, heat gun, and washi tape sentiments. ▶ watch 7:45
  2. Stamp the Happy Home image onto the craft card using your chosen coloured ink pad, pressing firmly into the centre of the card. ▶ watch 8:30
  3. Spray the stamped image lightly with water to create a soft bleed effect, then gently mop up excess water with tissue to control the spread. ▶ watch 10:30
  4. Stamp the same image again over the wet area using the same ink colour to solidify the outline and create a defined halo effect. ▶ watch 12:30
  5. Add fine detail to the flowers using a white gel pen, drawing small lines and dots to highlight areas like flower petals and window lights. ▶ watch 13:15
  6. Assemble your card base by gluing the craft card piece onto the gold card, then onto your 6x6 card base. ▶ watch 15:30
  7. Score a line at the top of your acetate or vellum sheet, then fold it over to create an overlay that wraps around your card. ▶ watch 17:30
  8. Position the acetate overlay over your stamped design and stamp the Happy Home image onto the acetate using white or gold embossing ink. ▶ watch 19:00
  9. Apply embossing powder generously to the stamped acetate image, then brush away any excess powder and fingerprints with an embossing brush. ▶ watch 21:30
  10. Heat set the embossed acetate using a heat gun, working in small sections with on-and-off motions to avoid melting the acetate. ▶ watch 24:00
  11. Trim the vellum or acetate overlay to size and tuck it under the card layers, securing with glue if needed. ▶ watch 42:30
  12. Finish the card by adhering a washi tape sentiment strip (such as 'Sweet Friend' or 'Have a Great Day') across the lower portion of the card. ▶ watch 45:30
