Decorative Heart Die-Cut Cards

A set of four different heart-shaped die-cut designs that can be used as card embellishments or standalone designs. Each heart features different floral elements and can be layered with patterned papers, watercolour washes or sparkle card for various effects.

Step by step

1. Select the sweet pea heart die design and position it on white cardstock. ▶ watch 52:30
2. Secure the die with tape and run it through your die-cutting machine. ▶ watch 53:00
3. Carefully pop out the cut pieces from the cardstock. ▶ watch 53:30
4. Select the delicate rose heart die and repeat the cutting process on fresh white cardstock. ▶ watch 54:00
5. Cut both designs simultaneously by layering two pieces of cardstock with both dies in place. ▶ watch 54:30
6. Remove the cut heart shapes and inspect the intricate leaf details. ▶ watch 55:00
7. Layer the cut hearts over patterned paper, sparkle card or watercolour washes for different effects. ▶ watch 58:00
8. Colour the protruding leaf elements with pencils if desired for added dimension. ▶ watch 58:30

Tips from the show

• These dies work as card fillers and can be used for sympathy, anniversary or birthday cards.
• You can cut the reverse side in sparkly card to show through the aperture.
• Leave white-on-white for a clean, elegant look if you prefer.
