Step by step

  1. Secure the circle or star stencil to your black card base using magnets or the supplied paste tape. ▶ watch 36:30
  2. Take a pea-sized amount of aqua blue glitter paste on your palette knife—you need very little. ▶ watch 36:45
  3. Scrape the paste through the stencil, working it into the cut-out areas with a smooth, butter-like motion. ▶ watch 37:00
  4. Scrape away any excess paste from the stencil back into the pot. ▶ watch 37:15
  5. Clean your palette knife and select a complementary colour (such as lavender purple) glitter paste. ▶ watch 37:45
  6. Apply the second colour through the stencil, filling in gaps and creating colour variation across the design. ▶ watch 38:00
  7. Carefully remove the stencil by lifting it straight up, then place it immediately into lukewarm water to rinse off the paste. ▶ watch 38:30
  8. Allow the paste to dry naturally for approximately five minutes—do not use a heat gun, as it is not necessary. ▶ watch 39:00
  9. Observe as the glitter becomes increasingly vibrant and dimensional as the paste dries completely. ▶ watch 40:00
