Step by step

  1. Select your invisible ink paper pad and identify the sepia-toned guide printed on the back of the card. ▶ watch 24:30
  2. Mix up your first colour using the watercolour kit—in this case, dilute green for the leaves. ▶ watch 28:00
  3. Paint the green colour over the leaf areas, following the guide underneath; the shading will push through automatically. ▶ watch 29:30
  4. Add a second tone of green to some leaves to create variation and visual interest. ▶ watch 34:30
  5. Paint the orange fruits with your orange watercolour, adding a touch of red at the base for depth. ▶ watch 37:00
  6. Add green accents to some of the oranges where the guide indicates, then remove excess water from your brush with a tissue. ▶ watch 38:30
  7. Layer darker shades of green on the leaves by adding more concentrated colour where the guide shows shadow areas. ▶ watch 40:00
  8. Add splats and accents of colour—orange and green—to enhance the design and create visual movement. ▶ watch 42:00
  9. Apply clear glitter glue (Stickles) sparingly over selected areas like the flowers and fruits for subtle sparkle. ▶ watch 48:30
  10. Allow the artwork to dry completely; the glitter effect will settle and create a delicate shimmer. ▶ watch 50:30
