A project from our live show CREATE TOGETHER CLUB - Show 4 - Join Toni - Broadcast 5th April 22 · 05/04/2022
Create a luxurious mini card featuring a thick gold embossed panel with a stamped floral design that resembles a wax seal. The technique involves layering embossing powder multiple times and stamping into the warm emboss to create a dimensional, textured focal point.
Cut a piece of white cardstock to 5 by 4 inches for your mini card base.
Cut a smaller piece of white card to sit in the centre with a nice outline border.
Apply sticky ink pad to the centre card panel, pressing down firmly to get good coverage.
Sprinkle gold embossing powder generously over the inked panel and tap off excess.
Heat set the embossing powder with a heat gun until it melts and becomes shiny.
Let the embossed panel cool for about two seconds, then quickly press your floral stamp into the warm emboss.
If the stamp impression isn't clear enough, melt the embossing powder back down with your heat gun and try again.
Apply another layer of sticky ink pad over the entire panel to build up thickness.
Add more gold embossing powder and heat set again.
Repeat the stamping process into the warm emboss, applying pressure to create a clear impression.
Trim the embossed panel with a trimmer to neaten the edges and remove any imperfections.
Mount the embossed panel onto a piece of white cardstock using glue and tape for secure adhesion.
