Simple Coloured Panel Card with Die-Cut Border

A quick and elegant card using watercoloured panels with a decorative border die. The design shows how a single border element can transform into a beautiful finished card with minimal embellishment.

Step by step

1. Colour two pieces of card stock using watercolours in green and blue. ▶ watch 16:30
2. Die-cut the border panel from each coloured piece to create two finished panels. ▶ watch 17:00
3. Adhere both coloured panels to the top of a card blank. ▶ watch 19:00
4. Add a die-cut sentiment word to the base of the card. ▶ watch 22:30
5. Layer the sentiment with the coloured panels to complete the simple, elegant design. ▶ watch 23:00

Tips from the show

• The white border created by die-cutting gives a professional finish even if your layers aren't perfectly aligned.
• You can use border panels on their own without additional embellishments for a clean, modern look.
• Mix stamp and die sets from different collections to create unique combinations.
