Create a striking boat card on black cardstock with white pigment ink stamping and clear embossing for a sophisticated, high-contrast finish. Pas à pas

1. 

   Cut a piece of black cardstock to your desired card size.

2. 

   Ink up the solid portion of the boat stamp using white pigment ink, ensuring even coverage across the entire stamping surface.

3. 

   Stamp the inked solid portion of the boat image onto the black cardstock, positioning it in the centre of the panel.

4. 

   Reload the stamp with white pigment ink and stamp a second time directly over the first impression to build up the white colour and create a more opaque finish.

5. 

   Sprinkle clear gloss embossing powder over the wet white ink on the boat image. Ensure the powder covers all the stamped areas completely.

6. 

   Heat-set the white embossing powder using a heat gun, moving it over the surface until the powder melts and becomes shiny and glass-like.

7. 

   Once the embossed image has cooled, you can optionally add white details such as a moon or additional highlights to complement the embossed boat design on your black cardstock.

Astuces de l'émission

• Pigment ink has an oil base and stays wet longer than dye-based ink, so sealing it with clear embossing powder makes it almost glass-like and prevents smudging.
• You may need to stamp multiple times with pigment ink to build up sufficient white colour on dark cardstock.
