Carte psychédélique aux écailles au pochoir et ornements en strass

Une carte carrée qui ne passe pas inaperçue, avec un motif d'écailles réalisé au pochoir à l'éponge et en plusieurs couleurs d'encre pour un effet psychédélique. Les strass dans les coins apportent éclat et relief, tout en gardant une carte bien plate, parfaite pour l'envoi par la poste.

Pas à pas

1. Cut a 6-inch square card blank from thick cardstock (approximately 300 gsm). ▶ watch 33:30
2. Position the stylish scales die as a stencil on one side of the card blank. ▶ watch 34:00
3. Dab the lightest ink colour (green) through the stencil openings using a sponge and light finger pressure. ▶ watch 34:15
4. Add the blue ink colour through the stencil, allowing colours to overlap slightly for variation. ▶ watch 34:30
5. Add the pink ink colour through the stencil to complete the first side. ▶ watch 34:45
6. Lift away the stencil to reveal the sponged scales pattern. ▶ watch 35:00
7. Flip the card and position the stencil on the reverse side. ▶ watch 35:15
8. Repeat the sponging process on the second side, starting with green, then blue, then pink. ▶ watch 35:30
9. Lift away the stencil to reveal the complete two-sided pattern. ▶ watch 36:00
10. Position the patterned card at a quirky angle on your card base. ▶ watch 36:30
11. Secure the patterned card using tape runner down the centre strip. ▶ watch 36:45
12. Trim the card to size using the card base as a guide, cutting level with the edges. ▶ watch 37:00
13. Stamp a sentiment onto the card using black Versafine ink. ▶ watch 38:00
14. Apply glue to the bottom corners and attach rainbow fish gem embellishments. ▶ watch 40:00
15. Apply glue to the top corners and attach rainbow fish gem embellishments. ▶ watch 40:15
16. Add smaller fern topaz gem embellishments above the larger gems for additional sparkle. ▶ watch 40:30

Astuces de l'émission

• Stencilling with sponges allows for light, uneven colour application that adds to the artistic effect.
• Keeping the card relatively flat with embellishments helps reduce postage costs.
